Drove about 40km this morning and halfway through a transmission fault message popped up on the dash along with a chime. I pulled over, turned the car off, waited a minute, started it again and the message was gone. Drove the rest of the way with zero issues, shifts felt completely normal. Now I’m sitting here unsure whether to take it seriously or write it off as a glitch. I’ve read that these cars log faults even when the light clears, so a scan should still show what triggered it. But I’d like to hear from people here first, has anyone had a one off transmission warning that never came back and turned out to be nothing? Or is it always the beginning of something?
