I know this sounds trivial compared to engine problems but the retractable ornament on my Ghost has stopped going down when I lock the car. It stays up all the time now, which means I’m paranoid every time I park somewhere public. The dealer quoted me a silly amount for what is essentially a small motor and mechanism, and honestly I don’t think it justifies their labour rates. A friend of a friend said there are Rolls-Royce mechanics serving Sharjah who handle these sorts of jobs without the dealer markup, though I haven’t verified that myself. Before I go chasing anyone, has anyone here had this fixed and can tell me if it’s a simple swap or if the whole front assembly needs to come apart? I’d also like to know if it’s a known fault on these or if mine is just unlucky. Not in a rush but it’s one of those things that nags at you every time you walk away from the car.
